Frequently Asked Questions

What do I bring to my consultation:

-       Please just bring yourself, and if you have them, a copy of your most recent blood tests. If you keep any records for yourself in terms of diet or symptoms please bring these along, but they are absolutely not necessary. Prior to coming to your consult, you will receive an email form to fill out. Please return this within 24 hours of your consultation as it saves valuable time, and it also helps you to think about your health concerns and goals prior to meeting.

Do I need to book a return consultation?

-       In short, yes, naturopathy is not a magic pill or quick fix.  In your consultations we cover a lot of information (Your initial consultation is 1 hour long, the average GP appointment is 8 minutes). This is because we dive deep into your health picture to really assess any factors that may be contributing your symptoms or condition. After your consult I do further research in order to present you with a comprehensive treatment plan and work out the best treatment for you. Having a return consultation is necessary in order to monitor your short- and long-term goals and progress, and provide you with support along the way. This is particularly important for complex and chronic conditions.

-       I absolutely acknowledge the cost of seeing a naturopath, and will always aim to work within your budget and needs. My goal is to provide you with the knowledge and power to make sustainable changes for long-term health benefits so that you don’t need to continue with regular treatment.

What testing do I need?

-       If you have recent blood tests please bring them with you or email through a copy. I offer functional pathology testing including hormonal profiling, stool tests, gut function and food intolerance testing. We discuss the need for this testing during your first consultation, as it depends on your unique situation.

I don’t know what foods I should eat, can you help?

-       Yes! Whether you have particular dietary requirements, or need help in with making dietary choices that serve your health better, we can help. During your consultation we discuss your particular needs and tailor your treatment plan around those.

Can I talk with you prior to booking a consultation?

-       Absolutely! I offer free 10-minute Discover calls so you can ask any questions you have about naturopathy and if it’s right for you. You can book this by visiting the online booking link on the Bookings page.
